Brokers and Agents,

We welcome 2021 and all the opportunity it brings – new clients, new vendor partners, new PEO relationships, new broker and agent alliances, as well as the opportunity to streamline old practices.  We have been working on our online presence with increased marketing, more content, improved tools, and now this also means less paper.  We will not be sending check stubs and statements in the mail.  This information along with other useful information can be accessed by logging into bridgely.com.

1099’s

I get questions about 1099’s every year.  Below are the most common questions and answers:

  • When will 1099’s be sent out?  We do our best to get these out as soon as possible.  This often means well before the deadline.  Deadlines show below are complements of checkmark
  • How come I didn’t get a 1099?  If you are receiving commissions in the name of your company and not personally, then you will not be receiving a 1099.  “In general, payments to corporations do not need to be reported on a 1099-MISC; LLCs and partnerships are issued 1099s, unless they are taxed as S- or C-Corporations” – fabeancounters
  • Can I get a report showing my income like a 1099?  Absolutely!  Just get in touch with Dennis and he will be happy to help.
  • Can I change my filing status with a new W9?  Also, absolutely…  But, please do this ASAP!!!  It avoids additional IRS work.
