⚖️ Florida Workers’ Compensation Rates: 2026 Update
Big news: Florida has approved a 6.9% average decrease in workers’ compensation rates for 2026. This marks the ninth year in a row that rates have dropped statewide.
Here’s what this means:
- The voluntary market will see new and renewal policies reflect this decrease starting January 1, 2026.
- Lower rates = lower operating costs for your prospects and clients.
The state’s insurance commissioner noted this trend is driven by fewer workplace injuries and declining medical costs. In fact, since major reforms in 2003, overall comp rates have dropped nearly 85% in Florida.
